Almost everyone who starts in additive manufacturing buys a machine and then discovers it's missing three things. Here's the complete roadmap to prevent that from happening.

None of the four work alone. Buying the machine without solving the powder problem is buying half an installation; solving the first three without the fourth is having a machine that's out of commission. Kits exist precisely for that reason.

You can buy them separately —and many people do, because they already have some part sorted—, but if you're starting from scratch, the kits below are better value and, above all, they come complete.

A kit isn't just a discount with a fancy name. It's a complete installation: everything you need to get your first good part out in weeks, not months.

The individual equipment items already have a list price—they are listed below. The kit is not the sum of their individual prices: it includes the main equipment plus transport, commissioning, and training, at a fixed price for all of Spain, and also the starter consumable and spare parts for the first change.

The kit includes all three parts of equipment—ALBA 300, Garbi, and vacuum—plus transport, setup, and training, at a fixed price nationwide: it's not calculated on a case-by-case basis depending on your location. Starting powder, PPE, cutting plates, and spare parts are included. If you require a more expensive alloy than A316L, the difference will be charged separately.

With 500W, the calculations change: more parts per build plate and per hour, which determines whether the installation is paid for through in-house labor or requires a grid connection. The same terms apply as the Shop floor Kit—transport, commissioning, and training at a fixed national price. Annual maintenance is not included, and the more expensive alloy than A316L is charged separately.

Here, the value isn't in production: it's in being able to write your own parameter sets and take them with you. That's why training centers, universities, and technology centers are our natural clients. The discount applies to the Samylabs equipment; full installation is included, but VAT is not.

Manufacturing plates

The dimensions follow the machine: Ø160 and Ø200 are the two volumes of the ALBA 300, and 250 × 250 is that of the ALBA 500. The plate is a consumable: it wears out, is machined to recover it, and eventually needs to be replaced, so it's advisable to have more than one to avoid stopping the machine between jobs.

Ø200 plates are priced the same as Ø160 plates: same material and same mounting, same price. A plate is a consumable—it is resurfaced and reused until it no longer presents a flat surface—so it's advisable to have a second one before you need it.

Filters

The filter is not an accessory: it is what decides whether you can chain long builds. With the ALBA 500, which carries a double continuous filter, one can be changed without stopping the print. And used filters from reactive alloys are hazardous waste, so you need somewhere to change them and somewhere for them to go — it is covered in what your shop floor needs.

Brush rubber

It is the cheapest spare on this whole page and the one that costs most to forget. When the dispenser rubber tears, streaks appear on the powder bed: it is the prelude to the brush jamming and the build collapsing, and it is one of the four faults the machine watches layer by layer — it is covered in process control.

Thirty-four euros versus a thirty-hour build wasted. It's better to have roll of film in the drawer before you need it, not after.

Individual protection

3M equipment that we distribute, such as the Delfin vacuum cleaner. We list these with prices because they are part of the actual cost of setting this up and almost never appear in any estimate until the machine is already installed. The specific protection required is determined by the risk assessment of each installation, not a catalog: this is what we provide, not a safety recommendation.

The mask is bought once; the filters are not. They are the consumable that is most often forgotten when calculating the cost of working with metal powder.

Discount scale proposed by us, pending confirmation by Samylabs. These are approximate average percentages: the actual discount depends on the alloy, the batch, and the exact quantity. The annual contract is not just about price: it's about scheduled deliveries against a forecast and a reserved lot, which in the middle of a series is worth more than the discount.

04 How to buy, without pretending

Not everything is bought the same way, and it's worth saying so.

What is requested and what arrives

Powder, spare parts, and consumables. You choose, we confirm the price and delivery time, and it's shipped. Today the order closes via email and is paid by bank transfer or invoice; the online checkout is the next step and is pending a decision.

What is activated

Open days. Reserve your place and come with your part.

What is configured

The kits. They have a price so you can do the math today, but an installation is adjusted by talking: what parts you're going to do, what space you have, what gas you work with, and what you already have sorted out.

What is being said

The machines. And not out of secrecy —the price is further up this page— but because before a quote we want to see your parts. Sometimes that conversation ends with us not selling you anything, because your case is better solved by ordering parts than by buying equipment. It is in buy a machine or buy a service.

And what we don't sell

Heat treatment oven, certified extraction system, and protective equipment. These are necessary for a complete installation, and we'll tell you which ones, but we don't manufacture them and we won't resell them at a profit.

05 Doubts

What you ask us before ordering.

Can I buy just the screening machine, without the rest of the machine?

Yes. Garbi works with any LPBF installation, not just ours. It's one of the most frequently ordered items sold separately.

Are the kits sealed?

No. If you already have an oven, or you already handle powder, it's removed from the kit and the price is adjusted. The only thing we don't recommend removing is the training: it's the part that determines whether the machine produces in weeks or months.

Is there a volume discount?

Yes, for powder, and the price is higher. For machines, there's no discount: there's a set price, which depends on the configuration and scope.

Is it possible to rent the machine instead of buying it?

We don't provide financing: we're not a financial institution and we don't offer our own rental services. What we do is help you set up a rental or leasing agreement and provide you with all the details you need: rates, delivery times, useful life, and residual value. You still buy the machine; what changes is who puts up the money initially.

Can I pay by card?

Not yet. Orders are placed via email and paid for by bank transfer or invoice.

What if what I need are parts, not a machine?

Then you probably don't need to buy a machine from us. Upload the geometry to the quote calculator and we'll manufacture it. When the volume justifies the equipment, the conversation changes—and you can do that calculation yourself using the data from buy machine or buy service.

Do you ship outside of Spain?

Yes. Machinery and equipment, wherever needed. Powder within the European Union is no problem; outside the EU, transport needs to be considered, and for some alloys, export controls apply.
