Cookies policy
This site doesn't ask for your permission to use cookies because it doesn't use any that require it. This isn't an oversight or a shortcut: it's a design choice, and this page explains what it entails.
The short version
- There is no analytics. Not Google Analytics, nor any other.
- There is no advertising or social media tracking pixels.
- There are no third-party fonts: fonts are served from this domain.
- There are no embedded videos or maps that load from another server without your request.
- We do not create a profile of you or track you across sites.
When you open this page, your browser communicates with our server and no one else.
What is a cookie, in one sentence
tiny file that a website saves in your browser to recognize you on subsequent visits. Some are essential for a site to function—remembering that you're logged in, for example—while others are used to measure your behavior or to profile you for advertising.
The regulations—article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE, implementing Directive 2002/58/EC—only require consent for the second type of cookies. Those strictly necessary to provide the service are exempt. Since none of these require consent, there is no pop-up window to accept.

A regular visitor who only reads the website does not receive any cookies.
How to check it yourself
You don't have to take our word for it. In any desktop browser, press F12 to open the developer tools and go to the Network or Application tab: you'll see all the requests the page makes and everything it saves. You should only see requests to this domain and no third-party cookies.
If you ever see anything different, write to us at info@samylabs.com: it will be a mistake on our part and we'll want to know.
How to manage cookies anyway
Any browser allows you to view, block, and delete cookies from its privacy settings. Blocking all cookies will not affect your ability to read this site.

If this changes
The day we add analytics, an embedded video, or any third-party tool, a consent window will appear before anything loads, and this page will be updated with the full list of cookies, their purpose, and their duration. As long as this page says what it says today, there is nothing to consent to.
Forms and files
The contact and parts request forms do not use cookies. What you submit through them is treated according to the privacy policy.
